Does anyone know the adult to child ratio if you have more then one adult. I am thinking of hiring a part time staff member. It's not so I can boost numbers, it so she can watch my baby while I run a couple of preschool classes. She would be fully certified, background check etc.

It is still only 6 children not matter how many adults are present. If you want more than that, you need to become a daycare centre.

If she was looking after your child, would she not be your nanny than? As long as she was not caring for any dc children, could it work that way?

To my knowledge, here in MB, if you have more than one adult looking after children at the same time, it is a group hdc. Not sure on the exact rules of that though.

5 little monkeys, you bring up a good point. She wouldn't actually be watching the other kids. Does anyone else know if this would be ok?
